Enjoy the abundance of nature!
There are a ton of great places to get out and make the most of summer in Okazaki' s numerous undeveloped woodland areas. For instance, why not try fishing for ayu (sweet fish) using a traditional fishing method of a weir, barbequing it right there on the Otogawa River bank? Alternatively, Kuragari Gorge offers a number of ideal spots for trout fishing, barbequing well as camping too.
- 9:00 Okazaki Park
- Head to Mikawa warrior's museum of Iyeyasu and Okazaki Castle, where you can learn about the history of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. Also, enjoy the experience of dressing up in armour as a feudal samurai warrior at the palace.
- 10:00 Cool off at the Japanese Tea Room
- Located close by the river within the park, Jounantei is the ideal place to take a break. Enjoy Japanese green tea and traditional sweets.

- 11:00 Lunch & Fun by Otogawa River
- Enjoy what Otogawa River has to offer, fishing for ayu (sweet fish) using the traditional fishing method of a weir, cooking it there by the river. Reservations accepted for the daily hire of barbeques.

- 11:00 All-you-can-pick-and-eat-grapes in Okazaki!
- With numerous vineyards located within Okazaki, why not try picking your own? You' ll be sure to enjoy yourself eating, simply relaxing and enjoying a variety of athletic equipment, parks, pools and river activities.

- 12:30 Surround yourself in the forest of Kuragari Gorge
- Enjoy the beautiful nature of Kuragari Gorge' s forest, a great place to cool off and escape the heat of summer. Accommodation includes bungalows, cottages and camping facilities with activities ranging from trout fishing as well as barbeques along the river.
