Okazaki is full of great viewing spots for autumn leaves. Okazaki Park in particular is dyed a beautiful reddish colour of maple trees, that when lit up at night on the water' s surface and masonry of the castle moat show off the beauty of the season. Higashi Park is also a must visit at night, accessible in a short 10 minute drive, with its harmonic beauty of coloured leaves and light like no other.
After enjoying the coloured leaves of Okazaki Park, continue on to Okazaki Castle, where you can learn about the birth and history of the well-known shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu.
